London calling

Apart from a brief spell in nearby Ascot, we’ve been based in Windsor ever since the company began back in 2003. It’s a lovely little town with great bars, shops and a famous neighbour who lives in her own castle up the road. Our team has grown to an impressive 30 and sits alongside 70 other Global Personals staff on one floor right in the middle of the town centre.

Windsor continues to serve us well, but it’s outside the booming technology hub of London. User groups, meet-ups and networking events in the capital are just a little too far away and the reality is some people only want to live and work in London. We’ve watched the media and government buzz over Silicon Roundabout and want to tap into that community.

So in early 2012, we’ll be opening a new office next to Waterloo station. It’s close enough to Shoreditch and the startup scene, but also very accessible from across London and of course Windsor. Initially big enough for up to 20 desks we’ll be recruiting for new people while also encouraging our existing team to visit the office and attend meet-ups after work. It’s important for us that Windsor and London staff will work side by side on projects as one joined-up team.

We’ve begun the hunt for a development manager to lead the London team and are also recruiting Rails developers and Ruby software engineers to work full-time from the office. If you’re interested in joining us in London or want to find out more, get in touch.
